A winter baby shower theme is perfect for a beautiful winter time baby shower. The main elements of this theme are snow and snowflakes which represent the purity and uniqueness of each baby.
The colors of this winter theme baby shower are white with accents of silver and blue, giving it an elegant and classy feel. This theme is also nice for a unique Christmas baby shower.
So grab a mug of hot cocoa, and let's get started planning your winter wonderland baby shower!Winter Baby Shower Invitations
If you want to make your own invitations, you could print out the details on plain white card stock and add some sparkle snowflake stickers or other winter embellishments. You can find many options in the scrapbook section at craft stores.
Winter Baby Shower Ideas and Decorations
Use white for your main color, adding a little silver and blue for a burst of color here and there. You could use a dark blue, a bright turquoise blue, or even a pastel blue.
String white Christmas lights around the room. You could also arrange some white lights on the tables or around the room and cover with white tulle. The lights will shine through the tulle and give a soft, glowing effect.
String a clothesline along a wall and attach winter baby items with clothes pins like baby booties, mittens, socks, hats, blankets, etc.
Get some white Styrofoam balls (found in craft stores) and use them as snowballs. Put them in a basket or lay them on the tables. They can also be used for games (see game section below).
Candles in frosted votive holders would also be pretty and add to the ambiance.
I found these homemade snow covered votives over at Crafts-for-all-seasons.com and had to share. This is a really inexpensive decorating idea, and they look easy to make. Visit the site for full step by step directions on how to make these. Make sure to take a look at her other winter crafts too!

Winter Baby Shower- Games and Activities
Guess the Snow- get a variety of white powders (sugar, flour, baking soda, baby powder, powdered sugar) and put each one in a separate bag or bowl. label each one with a number. Have the guests write down what they think each one is. The person who gets the most right, wins.
Snowball Toss- Take a flat piece of board and cut out several holes in different sizes, paint the board if desired. Use some white Styrofoam balls (found in the craft section of stores) as your snowballs. Give each guest 3-5 tries to toss a snowball into the holes. The person who makes the most shots, wins.
Baby Quilt Keepsake- Give each guest a square piece of fabric (6 square inches works well) and have them decorate with fabric markers. They can sign their name, write a message for the baby, or draw a picture.
After the shower, sew all the pieces together (or have a seamstress do this) to make a quilt and give to the mom-to-be. She will have a beautiful keepsake quilt to remember her baby shower and everyone who was there to share it with her.
