Here are the instructions how Claire made this princess diaper cake in her own words:"I put all the diapers together first. Then, I chose the tray I wanted to use. This one was clear so i covered it with pink tissue paper. It just makes it look so girly.
Then, I took a pink square basket and placed in the middle of the tray. I put the shampoo, lotion, powder and other baby items all hidden around the middle of the layers. My ribbon was pink and white polka dot with sheer pink overlay that was around each layer of the diapers. I made nice big bows on each row.
Then, I had pastel colored clothes pins and with thin pastel ribbons. I tied little baby blocks and rocking horses to the clothes pins then attached them to the diapers at the tops of the rows. Then I had some tiny satin baby rose buds I placed here and there, a baby rattle, and then I wrapped it in cellophane and tied ribbon around the top."
Claire also shared how she made her matching baby sock rose bouquet: (Click on the picture to see a bigger version)
"I used 12 pairs of girly socks rolled them to look like Rose's. Then, I got green wire and attached the wire inside the sock started wrapping green floral tape around the sock bottom and connected all the way to bottom of the wire to make a stem. I also choose to add some baby's breath and silk leaves to make the sock roses look more real .
I got a clear vase and bought 2 large bags of polished glass stones that were pink shades. I placed the stems of the flowers in the bottom of the vase then placed handfuls of the stones all around the stems. I also added some extra silk pink and white flowers to fill in then i put the same polka dot and overlay pink ribbon around the vase and made a bow now the BABY SOCKS BOUQUET matches the Pretty Princess Diaper Cake."
