Homemade Baby Shower Decorations
Fun and Easy DIY Baby Shower Decor
Homemade baby shower decorations add a fun and whimsical element to your baby shower or party.
My favorite materials for decorating are tissue paper, decorative paper, and ribbon. You'll be surprised how much you can make with those three simple things. Even if you don't consider yourself a crafty person, you will be surprised how easy it is to make your own homemade decorations. Tissue Paper Pom Poms
Tissue poms are still one of my favorite homemade party decorations. They are a cinch to make and really add a burst of color and fun to any shower or party.
Tissue Paper Flowers
Tissue paper flowers are a miniature version of the tissue pom and resemble carnation flowers. I have used them to decorate diaper cakes, as napkin rings, a wrist corsage for the guest of honor and even to decorate a backdrop. These tissue flowers are also great for centerpieces.
Baby Shower Banners
A baby shower banner is another party staple that can easily be made yourself. Follow our tutorial to learn how to make several different shapes and types with or without a computer.
Butterfly Pomander Ball
I made this butterfly pomander ball for a butterfly garden baby shower. It would also be perfect for a spring shower as well. Hang them from the ceiling or use them as table decorations. Click on the picture for full instructions.
Tissue Flower Pomander Ball
Tissue flower pomander balls also called "kissing balls" make beautiful centerpieces. Using tissue flowers instead of real flowers is an inexpensive alternative. Display them on a vase as pictured above or hang them up.
Paper rosettes have a vintage feel and can also be used in several ways. In our tutorial, we'll show you how to make the large rosettes for hanging or backdrops and small rosettes for centerpieces and table decorations.
