Elephant Diaper Cake Instructions:
(as told by Vanessa)
1. First, I rolled up 60 diapers. (roll them from bottom to top to give it a fuller look, make sure you secure the diaper with a small rubber band.)
2. I placed the large bottle on the base and secured it with the double sided tape.
3. Then, I began putting the diapers around the cake( 1st tier= round 1- 6 diapers, round 2-12 diapers, and round 3 about 20 diapers)
4. Secure the rounds with large rubber bands.
5. For the second tier I used 6 diapers for the first round and 12 diapers for the second round. then secure the entire round.
6. Place the small bottle on top of the large bottle.
7. Secure with a piece of double stick tape.
8. Place diapers around the small bottle. This tier will only need one round= 6 diapers, secure with a rubber band.
9. Then, begin decorating.
I used the smaller ribbon to tie around the diapers on the outside ring of the bottom tier. I placed the larger ribbon on the outside of each tier.
On the second tier I used a small baby blanket and wrapped it around the tier, I secured it in the back with 2 safety pins (try to make sure they are hidden). I used a large ribbon around to give it an effect.
I then just used ribbon for the top tier. I placed the 2nd baby blanket to give it a water fall effect. I placed the large stuffed animal at the top of the cake. The finger puppets I put in between, the first and second tier, the pacifier clip it the one used on the third tier.
