Have you heard the buzz? (Mom's name) is having a baby! Please join us for a cute-as-can-Bee baby shower.

(Name) is a mommy-to-Bee! Buzz on over for a cute-as-can-Bee baby shower!

(Mom's name) will soon be busy as a bee! Let's help her get ready with a cute-as-can-bee baby shower.

Bumble Bee Baby Shower Decorations:

  • Use bumble bee fabric from a fabric store and make it into into a tablecloth. Or, use as a table runner over a yellow tablecloth.

  • Make some floral arrangements with sunflowers and other bright flowers. Add a few artificial bees (you can find them at craft or floral stores). If you are using a glass vase, add some sliced lemons to give your arrangement a unique look.

  • Fill some glass apothecary jars with bright yellow candy.

  • Place some beeswax candles on the tables or around your floral arrangements.

  • Make a bee themed diaper cake. Use ribbons that match your color scheme and attach some Burt's bees Baby Bee products. Click here for diaper cake instructions.

  • Chicken strips with honey mustard dipping sauce.

  • Honeydew and other fresh fruit. You could also make a homemade fruit bouquet.

  • Honeycomb crispy treats. Make like Rice Krispies treats, just use Honeycomb cereal instead of Rice Krispies.

  • Serve sparkling lemonade punch. Combine 1 (12-oz) can of frozen lemonade, thawed, 2 cups pineapple juice, and 2 (23 oz.) bottles of sparkling water.

  • Float some sliced lemon rings in the punch bowl and put a few artificial bees on top of the lemons.

beehive cupcakes, bumble bee baby shower cupcakes
I found these cute beehive cupcakes over at Megan's blog- Fowl Single File, and she was kind enough to let me share. Those bees are chocolate covered almonds with sliced almonds for wings. The stripes are made with yellow icing. Visit her blog for the full beehive cupcake tutorial with step by step photo instructions.

If you would rather make a beehive cake instead of cupcakes, you could bake your cake using a Large Cupcake Cake Pan. Cover the entire cake with yellow icing, then add a bunch of those cute little almond bees.

You could also make some bees out of fondant. Attach the bees to pieces of flexible wire and stick in the cake. The bees will look like they are flying around the bee hive.

Bumble Bee Baby Shower Games:

How well do you know the mommy-to-BEE?- Make a list of questions about the mother-to-bee and baby. For example: The baby's name will bee? Will the baby bee a boy or a girl? The guest who gets the most answers right, wins.

See our baby shower games section for more game ideas.
