Baby Shower Punch Ideas and Tips

Make sure to add any carbonated or bubbly ingredients (ginger ale, sprite, sparkling cider or soda water) last and right before you are ready to serve.

Pour the carbonated ingredients in slowly and towards the side of the punch bowl.

Combine the fruit juices and chill before hand or overnight. The punch will stay cold longer and you won't need as much ice.

Instead of using ice cubes in the punch, use and ice mold or ice ring. A large piece of ice will take longer to melt and won't water down the punch as much. You can make an ice ring by freezing some water or juice in a bundt pan or mold. Remove the ice ring from the pan and add to the punch right before serving.

Float some sliced fruit or frozen fruit on the punch for a nice presentation. Marchino cherries also look nice on top of orange or lemon slices.

Serve in martini glasses or champagne flutes for fun twist. You can buy plastic ones at party supply stores.

You could also use a baby bathtub as your punch bowl. Float a few rubber ducks on top of the punch. Add some mini marshmallows to look like soap bubbles. Don't add the marshmallows until right before the guests arrive because they will start to dissolve after a while. After the party, clean out the bathtub and give to mom-to-be.
