Baby Shower Food Ideas and Tips
-
Prep and make as much as you can the day before. This will save you a ton of time and make the day of the shower less stressful.
-
Stick to your favorite recipes that you know will be a hit. The day of the party is not the time to try out a new exotic recipe. If you do want to try something new, do a trial run before hand. It may sound good in the recipe book, but not turn out the way you expect. Trying the recipe out in advance gives you time to adjust or tweak any ingredients if needed.
-
Get a head count a week before the shower, so you will know how much food to make. When in doubt, make more than you will need. It is better to have too much than not enough.
-
Check with the guest of honor to see what her favorite foods are. Make her shower extra special by serving food she loves. Also make sure she doesn't have any food allergies.
-
Feeling overwhelmed about making all the food? Ask a few family members or friends that are attending the shower if they would like to bring a dish or help out.
